Baal Chautaari was the first community activity initiated through EWNC and whole community needs your support in making long term sustainable exercise.

Various research have shown that speaking two or more languages is a great asset to the cognitive process. The research also indicated that the brains of bilingual people operate differently than single language speakers, and these differences offer several mental benefits. Our community is in very fortunate to be able to speak variety of languages in our homes and workplace. However, abs our community integrates more into the wider Australian Community this skills doesn't necessarily gets passed on to the next generation.

Through Baal Chautari EWNC is trying to ensure the next generations still continues to enjoy the advantages we have had in being able to communicate in multiple languages. Elementary Nepali Language & Dance classes conducted by EWNC plays a very important role in being able foster the familiarity with language, and nepali culture. EWNC is very grateful to Mr Roshian Upadhyay for contributing his valuable time to conduct classes every Sunday for the benefit of Nepalese community in the wider whittlesea area. One could only imagine, the amount of effort and preparation required to conduct a language class tailored to such a diverse age group.(age 4 till 10).

We need your support.

To ensure continued success of Baal Chautari, we need commitment from parents whose children are attending Baal Chautari. This commitment ensures that quality education delivered through Baal Chautari will continue into the future. This will also enable the committee to acquire tools and resources that will further enrich the experience of your children. We also request those parents who have already commited to 2nd term of 2018, to ensure their wards are dropped of at Galada Community Centre hall by 10:25 am on sunday to ensure classes are conducted on time. This will also enable the facilitator are able to make the best utilisation of time, and experience of other children are not hampered,
